Difference between Marines & Army?

The Army fights wars, the Marines fight battles. The Corps moves in quickly, traditionally by sea to fight in small slash and burn operations; the Army moves in slowly and with full logistical support, with forward units traditionally arriving via airborne operations (82nd, 75th etc). Training is very similar, with the corps focusing on tradition and "doing more with less, and the Army focusing on pragmaticism and "fighting like they train". The Marines have a longer initial entry training phase than the Army. The Army continues to train soldiers long after initial entry via Army schools (Airborne, Air ault, Ranger, Sapper, etc. Marines tend to focus on a transformation that happens during basic training; Army is more peacemeal.
