Mali Uromastyx Lizards?

I have a 7 yr old son who is very interested in owning a lizard. I have done some research and I know that there are so many choices out there. I was in our local pet store today and the lady who owns it has a mali uromastyx. I know nothing about this type of lizard but she says that she is very gentle, easy to handle and would be a great first lizard? I handled her and she was very easy to hold. Her previous owners apparently had a heat rock in with her that was to hot and her stomach was badly burned. You can see where the burn was but the pet store owner said it is fully healed and she is doing great with it. If anyone has any information I would greatly appreciate it! As I said before we are 1st time owners!
